ABOUT COMMUNITY CONCERNS, INC.

Community Concerns, Inc is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) agency.  It has its beginning as an outreach ministry of the Chapel of Christian Love Missionary Baptist Church from 1982-1988 as an effort to provide daily meals for the homeless community in Atlanta. 

In 1989, Community Concerns incorporated and began Odyssey III Supportive Services Center.  This program was designed to provide not only meals, but transitional housing supportive services and case management, to assist clients in the transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

Odyssey III takes a holistic client-centered approach to service delivery and goal planning with the client.  Odyssey III provides an excellent option for those consumers seeking more permanent housing and stability in their lives.

 
THE MISSION

The mission of Community Concerns, Inc. is to engage those experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness and facilitate their movement to permanent housing and employment with livable wage. We will assist those that are unemployable in accessing other streams of income, such as SSI and SSDI.

 

 
GOALS

1. To help those who are experiencing homelessness to become more employable through job readiness and job training, and to do job placement in employment in employment that provides a livable wage.
2. To assist in the reunification of existing families and support systems.
3. To connect disabled consumers with the appropriate financial entitlement, such as: SSI, SSDI, General Assistance, Veterans Disability, etc.
